The Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia is a 12-month life recovery program for men, women, and children. It aims to provide a path of hope and redemption through all types of addictions, domestic violence, sexual abuse, poverty, homelessness, and other life-challenging issues. Their ultimate goal is that graduates of their program will live a transformed life through the power of Jesus Christ, as they come out of the cycles of addiction and domestic abuse.

Transitioning from direct mail to digital wallet & payment options
When Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia noticed a shift away from direct mail and realized the importance of modernizing their payment options, they partnered with fundraising agency experts at BDI. They recognized that potential donors would be more likely to use convenient options like Apple Pay or PayPal, so they opted to add new digital payment options to their Bloomerang giving forms to increase donor conversion rates.

An easier way to give with Express Donate
The Rescue Mission has heard from donors that they appreciate the ease of giving with Express Donate, and the staff enjoy using Bloomerang’s customizable forms, which simplify the process. The ability to offer multiple payment options, like Venmo, PayPal, and Apple Pay, has strengthened donor relationships by providing more control over how they support the Rescue Mission. Supporters want to get involved with the organization’s mission, but they also want it to be quick and efficient.
Results
Seeing results with digital wallet donations
With the Bloomerang Express Donate feature, the Rescue Mission experienced a 36% year-over-year increase in donations. In one quarter alone, they received over $20,000 in donations via PayPal, Venmo, and ApplePay, with $4,000 of that through the Express Donate feature.
Due to their impactful partnership with BDI, the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia was honored with the 2025 Dynamic Duo Givie Award, which is given to an organization that has creatively engaged a strategic partner to execute their initiative.
