In the fall of twenty twenty four, Hurricane Helene hit the mountains of Western North Carolina, and Brother Wolf's shelter was completely flooded, A building that had saved the lives of over one hundred thousand animals was gone in a matter of hours. We were boots on the ground giving free veterinary care to animals that had been injured in the storm. And our team rallied to tell our story because we knew that we had to raise a massive amount of funds to get us back up on our feet. Bloomerang was instrumental to us responding quickly. We know how to create custom donation pages. We have a lot of flexibility in what we can put on those pages to tell our story and really portray to people what was happening here. Within a week, we raised over a dollar MM. And so many of those people didn't know us before the catastrophe that we went through. We had over twenty five thousand new donors in the months following the storm. How surprised and grateful people were to hear from someone, to know that we were okay, and to be thanked for that gift.
