Bloomerang Update

Visual updates coming to Bloomerang:

What you need to know

At Bloomerang, we believe nonprofits deserve tools that reflect the energy, optimism, and ambition of the missions they serve. That belief is at the heart of our visual changes.

As of September 4, you’ll notice updates across Bloomerang CRM, Bloomerang Volunteer, and what’s currently known as Qgiv by Bloomerang. These updates include new logos, updated mobile app icons, new websites, and a refreshed color palette across all platforms. Qgiv by Bloomerang will also change to Bloomerang Fundraising.

These changes aren’t just about aesthetics. They’re about creating a more cohesive and consistent experience across the entire Bloomerang Giving Platform—so whether you’re managing donors, volunteers, or fundraising campaigns, everything feels connected, intentional, and purpose-built.

What hasn’t changed? Everything you rely on today—your workflows, login credentials, data, donor-facing form links, and platform functionality have not changed with this update.

However, there are a few key details you may want to communicate to certain audiences, if you haven’t yet—such as volunteers, event staff, and team members who use Bloomerang’s mobile apps frequently—to help ensure a smooth and seamless transition as soon as possible.

The following FAQ is designed to answer common questions you or your team might have.

General Overview of Changes

  • Company logo, product logos, and favicons (the small icon associated with a website typically displayed in your browser tab) were updated across CRM, Volunteer, and Fundraising tools.

Your workflows, data, and platform functionality will not be impacted with this update. Over the coming weeks, you’ll notice more color and typography changes throughout the entire Bloomerang Giving Platform for a more unified experience.
Across all three platforms (CRM, Volunteer, and Fundraising), you’ll see:

Mobile App Updates

If your device has auto-updates enabled, the Bloomerang CRM and Fundraising (formerly the Qgiv Virtual Terminal) mobile app icons and names will update automatically. However, if auto-updates are disabled, you’ll need to manually update the app. Simply visit the App Store or Google Play, locate the Bloomerang app, and tap “Update.” Please note that for the Bloomerang Volunteer app, manual updates are required by following the same steps previously mentioned.
You will see:
  • New app icons on your home screen.
  • A new color in the top navigation bar inside the app.
  • The Bloomerang app name for your CRM will change from “Bloomerang” to “Bloomerang CRM.”

No other changes will occur with the September 4 updates. Your workflows and app functionality remain the same.

Adjusting to the Updates

For most users, no action is required. However, if your organization has an upcoming event, we recommend the following as soon as possible:
  • Notify volunteers and event staff who use Bloomerang mobile apps regularly.
  • Review your internal materials (training guides, screenshots, app download instructions) and update visuals as needed.
  • Ensure mobile apps are up-to-date ahead of any events.
We’ve included a short message for Bloomerang Volunteer and Bloomerang Fundraising (formerly Qgiv by Bloomerang) customers to share with volunteers that frequently use the mobile apps:
Bloomerang Volunteer:
As of September 4, the mobile app for Bloomerang Volunteer will appear under a new purple icon. How you use the app to find opportunities & manage your schedule won't change, just the visual app icon. If your device doesn’t have auto-updates enabled, you may not see these changes on September 4. To eliminate confusion, we encourage you to do a manual update through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) on or after September 4.
Bloomerang Fundraising (formerly Qgiv by Bloomerang):
As of September 4, Qgiv will become Bloomerang Fundraising. The mobile app for Qgiv Virtual Terminal will appear under a new blue icon and the app name will change from Qgiv Virtual Terminal to Bloomerang Fundraising. Additionally, you may notice refreshed colors and logos throughout the web and mobile applications. If your mobile device doesn’t have auto-updates enabled, you may not see these changes on September 4. To eliminate confusion, we encourage you to do a manual update through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and consider turning on auto updates for iOS or Android for any future updates.

We recommend adding a disclaimer on your documentation assets, something similar to the messages below: Bloomerang CRM and/or Bloomerang Volunteer:
  • “Please note: The images shown below may reflect colors, logos, and /or app icons that are outdated. However, the workflows and steps are still the same. For mobile app users, please ensure you’re using the latest version.”
Bloomerang Fundraising:
  • Web application documentation:
    • “Please note: Qgiv is now Bloomerang Fundraising. The images shown below may reflect old product names, colors, and logos. However, the workflow and steps remain the same.”
  • For Bloomerang Fundraising mobile app (formerly the Qgiv Virtual Terminal app)

To access a downloadable file of the new Bloomerang logo and the Bloomerang Fundraising app icon, please log in to your Fundraising account and check out this article in the help center. We also recommend periodically visiting the Donor-Facing Resources area of the Fundraising help center as more assets are updated and replaced.
